New England Chapter
of the Health Physics Society

Welcome to our website.

We are a regional chapter of the Health Physics Society, an international professional scientific organization dedicated to promoting the practice of radiation safety.

NECHPS was established in 1960 to serve radiation protection professionals in the New England area. The  chapter’s goals are to: aid in the work of health physics; to improve the dissemination of information between individuals in the field and related fields; to address public concerns about radioactivity; to promote health physics as a profession; and to accomplish goals set by the national Health Physics Society.

Browse our website to get information about: upcoming events of interest to the health physics community; archived chapter newsletters; current job postings; professional and educational health physics links; the NECHPS history (useful information for documenting continuing education units); the chapter Charter and Bylaws; how to join NECHPS or update your membership information; and contact information for NECHPS officers and directors.
